New File Sharing Experience in Teams

Doctor SharePoint has long been an advocate of sharing, internally as well as externally.  So imagine his excitement when Microsoft announced a new file sharing experience in his favorite Microsoft Office 365 application- Teams!  In Microsoft Teams, users can share content with other Teams users within and outside their organization. Sharing in Teams is based on the settings configured in SharePoint and OneDrive, so whatever you set up for SharePoint and OneDrive will control sharing in Teams as well.

Hub-a Hub-a, hub sites once thought to be the new way to create centralization failed to achieve some of the more lofty goals.  But now Microsoft is catching back up with this update!  SharePoint hub permissions enable hub owners to centralize the management of visitor access to associated sites.

Hello Patients!  It seems that Microsoft is finally expanding the in-product help that appears at the top-right of your SharePoint team sites!  This will begin gradually rolling out to "targeted release customers" mid-December.  How does this affect you?  SharePoint will help you and your users build new sites by providing contextual help. To see the tips, click on the megaphone in the Office 365 suite header above the team site.
